Impersonator, singer, actress and TV host, Veronic DiCaire’s journey is marked with versatility and perseverance. Well known to recreate, with outstanding accuracy, the greatest voices of Canada, USA and France, the impersonator’s wide repertory impresses everywhere she goes.
Born in Embrun, a small community in eastern Ontario, Canada, the singer-actress-dancer-host-comedian-impersonator has had an incredible journey. Passionate about singing at an early age, Veronic impressed the jury at the Ontario Pop competition at the age of 17. Musicals came along in her life with her first role in the French version of GREASE as Sandy. This brought her a huge success across the province of Québec, Canada.
It is with her own voice that Veronic DiCaire was initially known with the release of her first
folk-rock album under the Warner label in 2002. She was rewarded with 2 nominations at the Gala de l’ADISQ and won 5 Trille D’Or awards from the Gala de la chanson et de la musique franco-ontarienne in 2003. It is in 2007 that she started revealing her talent for impersonations in events such as the Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal and Le Grand Rire in Québec city.
In 2008, Céline Dion and René Angélil requested that she open for the Taking Chances show at the Montreal Bell Center. In one night, her life had changed! With this huge success, she
performed to sold-out shows everywhere in Québec and travelled with her multiple voices on an European tour. The people in France first knew her as a judge on the X Factor, however, they soon discovered the impressive talent of this artist who can impersonate the French legend, Édith Piaf, perfectly. Her European tour brought her 12 nights at the renowned Olympia de Paris Theater as well as to many places in France, Switzerland and Belgium from 2010 to 2012.
Starting in June 2013, Veronic has been performing a brand new show – Voices – at the Bally’s Hotel & Casino’s Jubilee Theatre in Las Vegas. She delivers 50 of the biggest American and international voices. She was chosen Best Singer for the 2014 Best of Las Vegas Awards. The Voices show is co-produced by Céline Dion.
